Food is good, limited as to what you can get on your hamburger. No lettuce or tomato available. Staff must have been having a bad day. One woman was rude, and I got the impression she just wanted me to move on.

The vast majority of the forest is in the Game Lands Program, which is administered by the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission. There are several safety zones where hunting is prohibited or restricted (archery zones, hunting areas for disabled persons and still hunting only areas).

Yes, there are horse trails. You may also want to check out the gamelands in Sandhills. They have an excellent horse trail there.
