The owners are awesome and very accommodating. Rooms are run of the mill but close to the river and activities. Locals are nice but there are a lot of less than to be desired individuals being put up in the rooms for housing transitions. No one bothers you but you know what is going on when cars constantly come and go from one room.

Sugar Magnolia

Its as cheap as it gets. Just need to pull over somewhere safe and clean? Its the kind of place that make family vacations possible for those with limited budgets and lots of folks. Its dated, funny looking, but they are good people, if you need something done just ask before hand, don't assume. Well located, for the lake, an outdoor shelter with fireplace, play ground and all the area offers. This is what most Americans can afford, and I for one am glad its still there, hot tub in the kitchen and all! Well worth the drive to let the kids loose.

We stayed for 1 night. Great location! However, the floors were filthy! The coffee maker in the room didn't work & the towels were paper thin. The bed was clean, so that was a huge plus! Bring your own coffee maker & towels.
