I had an appointment set. I was running late and going to be exactly 11 minutes late for my set appointment time according to my GPS. Driving to Hillsboro Village can have unexpected traffic, even midday during the week. I called 20 minutes ahead of this to give a heads up and apologize. The office said this was fine, and they would call me if that changed, but again should be fine. I arrived at the exact time I said my ETA would be. As soon as I pull into the parking lot, I receive the call that my appointment now must be cancelled as Dr. Curcio has another appointment within 5 minutes. Let me repeat that, I advised that I was currently sitting in the parking lot and turned away. I am not sure why I would only have a time window of ~15-20 minutes (appointment set to start at 1 and arrived at 1:11), this seems concerning to have appointments that are set in such close proximity. I could have been given a heads up to not bother coming if 11 minutes late was unacceptable before having taken time away from work, driven 30 minutes through stressful traffic to be turned away in the parking lot. The reply from the office to this was completely lacking of empathy. The way this was handled is why I have lowered my initial review. The response to any negative review from this office is alarming. EDIT: Update in response to the office. First off, my appointment was not a year ago as they are stating, it was exactly 2 weeks ago. Regardless of 11 minutes late and paperwork required - this would have been understood by the office upon my call to notify and told to still come. It is disregarding my negative experience in the fact that I was still told to travel there after advising beforehand I’d be late and checking if that was still okay. Then received no apology after commuting there and told something different at the very last minute. If this is common with patients, as we are humans and life happens, then be more upfront, display more kindness, and perhaps do not schedule appointments in such close proximity or it may lead to negative experiences.

Wow, changing my review to one star because, in their reply, the company blatantly LIED! When I called and finally reached someone to schedule, I was given very limited options and the receptionist seemed annoyed that I could not take off work to take the next available appointment. I never rescheduled my touch up. Your receptionist read me back the number you called, and it hasn't been a working number for 3 years! I left updated contact info on my paperwork, and on phone messages when I attempted to schedule the touch up. Apparently, the office staff failed to update the information. I admitted traffic made me late, but it wasn't by 18 minutes. It's so unprofessional to be dishonest in a reply, and posting details without my consent is very close to violating HIPAA policies.
