Religious Discrimination in Chapel: Today I was sitting in the chapel studying a religious text that is important to me and writing my thoughts on my laptop. A female staff member came in abruptly and began to question me regarding what I was doing and whether or not I was studying the Bible. The chapel should be a safe place for everyone to connect with God in their own way not just those who study and worship in the same way as the staff. Very disappointing and unsettling.

The YMCA of Middle Tennessee does not have a partnership with the Silver Sneakers company, Tivity. So unfortunately we do not have the Silver Sneakers program. However, we do have some other membership options that would be similar or comparable, and we still serve our Active Older Adult population with several group exercise classes and activities.
