It takes a great heart to be the guardians of special kitties. Please find it in your heart to donate for blind kitties!!

The cats are very sweet and well taken care of. I took my little brother to visit them and he enjoyed himself a lot. It’s a nice way to spend a couple hours and it’s completely free to come and play with the cats. They really enjoy the company 😸

Questions & Answers

Is there a facility like this in Philadelphia, PA. Caring for a Ferrol that is going blind.😿

Shelly Heil | Oct 1, 2018

St Pauls, NC is the only place I'm aware of with a rescue like Blind Cat Rescue. If they have an opening, they usually have voluteers to get the kitty to BCR. They have kitties from all over residing there. They currently have a cat from France!

Do yall take cats in? I have 7 kittens and I need them gone by Monday or the lot owners are going to call the pound on them. I've raised them since birth and desperately can not afford them myself and I don't want them to be euthanized

We only accept blind, FIV & Felv cats when we have space available. Please go to petfinder.com and talk to local rescues to see if they can take them.

Why did house 1and2 emerge

Carolyn Tolliver | Sep 30, 2021
Alana Miller | Sep 30, 2021

Because Building 1 needs extensive repairs that can not be done with the cats in there.

Ask your vet to clean out the empty sockets and sew the eyes closed. That will take care of the infections. Thank you for giving a blind cat a home!

How old do you have to be to volunteer?

Danyka Carl | Sep 30, 2020
Blind Cat Rescue & Sanctuary | Sep 30, 2020

Danyka, A lot depends on what the volunteer will be doing and their maturity level. We will allow volunteers 16 years old and up without a parent. Volunteers under that age must have parents present.

Not sure which cat was stephanie? I have 33. And none of them have the name they came with. Was stephanie the blind and deaf white kitty I called Bella

Can you need paw points for Tidy Cats litter or Fresh Step litter. Also I buy the 35lb pails, do you know if they are eligible to get paw points off of. I just joined the paw points club and designated blind cat rescue in North Carolina

Darlene Boroughs | Oct 1, 2019
Suzanne Coholic | Oct 1, 2019

Hi thanks for asking! Paw points mailed to us are kept until they reach an amount that `buys` a pallet. The official site says on boxes over 28 pounds but not pails. I would look under the `wrapper` in case they are printed there. 😊

What are requirements for accepting blind cats

Kathy English | Oct 1, 2019
Blind Cat Rescue & Sanctuary | Oct 1, 2019

Kathy, the most important is if we have space available. We run at capacity almost always and when we do have space,a cat in an animal control facility will get preference since they will be killed.

We are bringing our cat from the DC area on Thursday, June 28th. It will be about a 6 hour drive with possible traffic. What is the latest we can get there?

S Friedman | Oct 1, 2018
Maria Courteau | Oct 1, 2018

I'm not sure why I got your message, and not sure why you are bringing your cat to Blind Cat Rescue but you can't just bring a cat there and leave it, you have to contact them and set up to see if they have room. They can only have so many kitties in the shelter at one time by law. You can Google Blind cat rescue st. Paul's North Carolina and get their contact information

Can anyone help us we are overload of cats. We need.to find homes for kittens and momas. I would love to get them all fixed but i can not afford to do that but i can not put them in shelter. They are all loving please help

Will Whitmer | Oct 1, 2018
Stephanie Welch | Oct 1, 2018

Why are you unable to take them to a shelter? Look for a no kill animal shelter in your area. Where are you located? This rescue only does blind, FIV, or FeLV positive kitties, but they may have resources for other places for you.

I have a beautiful little Calico girl that went to vet to be spayed and when they sedated her ,her heart stopped. After a few seconds he got her heart to beat again but now she's blind. I am trying to find a place for her.

Why would you want to turn your cat out of its home just because it lost its sight ?? Your (and its home) are all the poor critter knows.
