The convenience of the location was about the only good thing. My bf and I are pretty talkative, personable people and have stayed at many Choice hotels as he is a member and have always had good encounters with the staff but here not so much, they didn't smile, didn't even acknowledge us other than to give us our room number and cards and while in Boise all the hotels even the nicer ones were all about the same price point so we went with Choice so we could get the points and lone behold this was by far one of the worst places we have stayed to date. The walls were dirty, we paid extra to have a Jacuzzi tub because I have some major back and hip issues and I'm a plus size girl so I was excited to be able to soak. NOPE after the tub filled and the jets on the bubbles came up looking grey/brown. It was awful. We didn't say anything because well, it had already been a long trip and we didn't want to move our things and the staff was less than happy to be there or even act like they were in a service-customer oriented field. When I saw a different girl at the front, I thought oh maybe she'll be friendly. Nope, smiled at her and she had a weird look like why was I even smiling at her, didn't greet us or say have a nice night, nothing, literally nothing. They had like what would be used as I think linoleum or vinyl for the floor wrapped around the outside of the tub and then bolted in place with what I think was upholstery things. The towel rack was in the wall on a rough cut, no finish board, the shower head had been put back into the wall in what looked like a different location and patched very roughly. We didn't have a do not disturb sign so we had to write one and put it on the door. The remote didn't have a battery cover, only one nightstand had a plug-in and the reading light on the bed lights were broken it seemed. The curtains were dirty as well. The pool which I rely on due to as I said earlier back and hip problems was disgusting, freezing cold. 1.5 of the 4 heaters on the floor of it were working, the filters were clearly not doing their job as there was stuff all in the pool. The pool area as a whole felt like a parking garage. The comfort mat things on the deck loungers that were blue but had black throughout them, signaling that they needed to be cleaned more or just thrown away and replaced. They did look pretty out of date. Any of the equipment in the room looked to be in pretty bad repair. With seeing some of the other referred l reviews I'm really surprised Choice has not stepped in and fixed this place. Especially in such a well visited place.

The hotel was nice. It was in a convenient location for our needs. The pool was nice and the continental breakfast was what you would expect from this type of hotel. My only complaint would be that the beds are definitely a lot harder than what I am used to sleeping on. Other than that it was a nice stay.

Positive: Very quick to get to from airport. Friendly person at check in. Negative: Lots of noise from other rooms. There was a college team staying there - the kids weren't being loud but the doors opening and shutting were. Just terrible soundproofing / build quality of the hotel. Would not stay again.

Positive: The location was great--easy to get to downtown, freeway, shopping, food, university. The hot tub was large. Breakfast was good, too. Negative: The pool and hot tub were not very clean. I'm very surprised this hotel has a 3 star rating. We stayed 3 nights and didn't have our garbage emptied or towels replenished once--even after asking. Would be better staying here for a one night stay.
