If it was mailed to the post office then I don't think they charge you for holding it
There's a form they will give you with that information on it. You have to fill it out and provied the proper documentation in order to mail it in. The two things I know for sure is you state ID and social security card. Other then that you would have to either wait for some else to respond to your question or go in and get the form.
The post office does passports...DMV does state ids
