Less crowded than a regular Costco with some differences in stock. More restaurant supplies and office supplies, no TV/electronics department. It looks like some food items are the same but others are in larger quantities or restaurant packaging.

Firstly, this is NOT a normal Costco. There are three Costco Business Centers in the Bay Area. Hayward was first, then S. SF (just above the airport), and now this new and gorgeous one in San Jose. Each one is bigger, newer & shinier than the prior installation. Early days, only Executive members could use the Business Center in Hayward, but that rule is long gone. No books, DVD's, electronics (except those tied to small business and restaurants), clothing, no bakery, etc. More bulk sizing.....think feeding a cafeteria sized tuna & other items. Want macaroni noodles....buy a box of it instead of a package. You may already see Costco as bulk sizing, but at least some of the stuff here is even more oriented to bulk. Lots more frozen foods. Lots more sodas, snacks, cleaning supplies, house cleaning and take out products (think paper plates, plastic utensils, etc.) More bulk sized meat. They had yeast even when people on NextDoor thought that was an impossible find. Giant tubs or cornstarch for less than $3. More rice, flour, beans, etc., then a normal warehouse. The staff at all Costco's are amazing. This store is wide open and it's potentially easy to social distance, but for the occasional oblivious person that wanders near you, but that's always a risk. The stores open earlier than warehouses, have no senior hours and are closed Sundays, so not what you're used to. Check the site before you leave home. You could start her at 7 am, then pop into your local warehouse on your way home. Don't forget your cooler bags. (If you don't have good ones, the warehouses--NOT the biz center, as far as I know--currently have an excellent insulated bag ( (Keep Cool brand)) in stock. Added photo below....again, at normal warehouses.) Tons of candy, sodas, products oriented to restaurants and small stores. Yeast could be found here through most of the pandemic. Though one reviewer was upset by both the cold of the walk-in refrigerated section and lack of organics, there are many things to love here. And wouldn't you want a walk in refrigerator to be cold? Bring your down jacket? You can buy a safe here.....a money counter. They have high quality shisitos (Frieda's organic) and poblanos in bulk--share with friends. Meat galore! If you have a friend who can grind it up, a huge savings can be had. A side or leg of lamb....I think that's what it was. Not the place to get fresh fish, but we can get that at all of the other Costco's. Easy in and easy out on my two visits since this location opened around Halloween. If you have to drive great distance and are after a 'limit 1' product, consider taking a friend or investing in a 2nd membership. I did the latter at the start of the pandemic, which has helped me help older friends find rare items. If you don't see a small or restaurant oriented appliance, let them know. They can order things they don't stock and will pass along their savings. Only warning, I don't know that you can return special-order items. Anyway, go with an open mind and you may come to love this or another of Costco's business center offerings. Imagine, there are entire states in the US that don't have Costco at all (Louisiana), let alone our good luck--many Costco's and 3 business centers. Three!!! Another reason why we are so lucky to live in the Bay Area.

Didn't know that you are required to show a business license to shop at this center. I was asked to show my Business license at the cash register.

Love the business center. Well organized, less crowded in the mornings. Couple of Shaded parking spots. Did i mention Super Friendly staff??

No gas station right now, but they are digging something in the side parking lot.
If you're scared stay home. They offer home delivery. Costcobusinessdelivery.com
Yes, you can. We have executive membership too, we always go when we need stuff in bulk but make sure to compare prices before you buy. Not everything is Cheap in business center.
No
No but that do have cigarettes and tobacco.
Depend on what you are looking for. The business center will deliver next day Monday through Friday to a business at a business location. Not to a residence. If you need shipping to a residence then go to costco.com and click on "grocery". Same day delivery is handled by Instacart while 2 day delivery is handled by Costco.
Monday through Friday 6pm and Saturdays at 4pm. They are not open on Sundays
They have had it in stock for several weeks now without running out.
Some Business Centers do have food courts, but this one does not, nor a gas station. It is always possible that Costco will change their.mind, but it is often up to customer suggestions.
Construction is still working on, don't know if Costco will add gas ⛽ station in the future.
There are no grand opening deals that I noticed while shopping there on the opening day. Some items were on sale, but nothing beyond that which are available at other Costco stores. However, the breadth and depth of merchandise offerings are greater than found in typical Costco stores. At the San Jose Business Center, there is not a food court nor does this store carry clothing. My wife and I were very impressed with the new Costco Business Center. We will definitely be shopping there in the future.
No there is no photo center here and Costco has closed all their photo center everywhere
No
Looks like it will be a business center so probably not, which is kinda of a bummer.
