Attended a funeral and it seemed very unwelcoming to the family and guests who were not church members. The priest was not friendly to anyone after the service. Left me feeling sad that God was not in that building.

My grandma was dedicated to the Catholic church her entire life. Not only did she never miss a Sunday, but she dedicated many years and much of her finances. She had an unconditional love for God and the church, and it was disappointing at best to see the treatment she received at her funeral service. The officiating Father Michael St. Marie was dismissive towards the family the entire service, even forgetting to allow the family members to speak. He only allowed one family member to speak at the service, which he referred to as "a little spiel". Do better. This was honestly the most disrespectful treatment for a lovely woman's final goodbye and for her family.
