After contacting Spectrum directly about returning equipment, I was told an appointment would be needed and to go online. After setting up an appointment on line and selecting "to return equipment" I was told upon entering the building with two huge boxes, "we don't take equipment at this time". I explained I was told you did and I completed the process online specifically requesting to return equipment. Again, I was told "we don't take equipment at this time. Go to UPS on Elmwood." I asked where on Elmwood and got no response. I did suggest they update their website. There was no apology. No offer to assist me in carrying the two large boxes back to my car. However, the young man behind the counter did take some time to walk outside and talk on his phone as he saw me struggle with carrying the boxes. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!! For this reason, I am glad I decided to stay with Direct TV!! If I could have given a minus star I would have.

It's cheaper to bundle services after your promotional period has ended; however, it's still way over priced. Best solution I found was to get rid of everything except internet, and get a Roku or Firestick. You can then get DirecTVnow for only $30/month which actually gives you more channels than you received through Spectrum. ;)
Go to Chicago st. Office in person they will normally adjust your bill do not try to do this over the phone
When you unplug it it falls off the network. When you plug it back in it forces the equipment to re-establish a connection with the server getting proper information on how it should operate.

A lot of times there are instructions in the battery compartment, but a store will swap your remote out no questions and it should have the full set

You can't add on 1 ch, you'd have to add the tier that contains the ch so probably $12/mo depending on what you already have and want to add
