ID center does not return phone calls. Had an appointment over a month out, had wife take a day off and drove 45 minutes to get there only to find from gate guard that they are closed. No communication, nothing. Highly unprofessional.

I recommend reaching out to a local VFW or American Legion. Additionally, if there isn't one local, reach out to a funeral director as they are familiar with the process of requesting it. If all else fails, always YouTube videos.

I'm a Hospital Corpsman that went through FMTB and is transitioning to reserves. What are my chances of working out of this base?

That question would have to be directed towards the reserve naval unit at Maritme the corpsman unit is based out of there but the detachment drills out of garden city
