The more I think about my appointment at PhysicianOne Urgent Care in West Hartford, the more baffled I am. Right off the bat: it doesn't matter what time you make an appointment at Solv. You're always going to wait. The wait here is typically 15+ minutes after your appointment time. This most recent time was a 45 minute wait. And again I say, I made an appointment, I wasn't a walk-in. Who knows how long they would have to wait? Then we get to the actual appointment, I tell them my symptoms, and I tell them what I think I have (after talking to a family friend who is a medical provider) just in case. And the provider proceeds to tell me that I don't "want [condition]." But want doesn't factor into it. I don't WANT anything. I don't WANT to be at urgent care. And then he goes on to say that even though I have every single one the symptoms of this condition, it's contagious so I don't want it. But because it's contagious, wouldn't I want to know if I have it? So I don't spread it? Not according to this provider. And to test for this, he could've just given me the equipment for a stool sample, especially since it's a simple test to take considering, y'know, that I have all of the symptoms of a contagious infection. In the end, he prescribed me anti-nausea medication even though that wasn't my primary symptom. I didn't even bother to fill the prescription because I can control nausea without a pill. So, it was a waste of a $20 co-pay and an hour. Don't go here.

The Dr here needs to listen to his patients better! I had to edit and change up my original 5 star review because after a few weeks my son is worse weeks after he was seen here. The Dr prescribed antibiotics but he called in the wrong antibiotics - which at first I did not realize- and even after I called back and specified which antibiotic works best for him he still called in the same one a second time!! Since his visit my son missed a week of school, went back to school for a few days the second week & now here we are going on week 3 and he now has to miss another week of school. I had to make another appointment and thankfully this time thebDr called in the correct prescription which will get my son back to being healthy quickly! Next time the Dr needs to listen to his patients and trust them when they say they have been thru this several times with their child. It would've saved my child and I 3 weeks of misery. Not to mention I am missing work because of this too!

We provide convenient care during extended hours and offer patients the flexibility of walking in to receive care at a time that is most convenient for them. Patients also have the option to check-in online to hold a spot in the wait queue. This is not an appointment, though allows patients to “hold their spot” in line and receive a text message when it is their turn to come in and complete the check-in process in person.
We offer the Influenza (flu) vaccine, during flu season. Visit our vaccines page, for vaccination information.

We have on-site X-ray capabilities, so we’re able to diagnose fractures and then splint them during your visit. Our X-rays are read by a Board Certified Radiologist. We can also provide you with a copy of your X-rays on a CD for you to bring to your orthopedic physician for a follow-up appointment.
Generally speaking, our fees are far more affordable than a visit to the emergency room, though this depends on your co-pay and the level of care you receive during your visit.
