Great food at a reasonable price! Nice atmosphere and good service. You should check out the Spicy Cowboy burger if you like a little heat. Most places say spicy and don't mean it. This one had me sweatin' just a little bit! (and literally the best fries you've ever had anywhere!)

Went on Friday of the Labor Day weekend. Tee time of 11:07. Played the River Course. Course was not busy so we teed off early. Both Rangers we met were very nice. The golfers were nice and helpful. The staff in the Pro Shop was nice. We drove from the Charlotte, NC area. This course is an inexpensive round of Sandhills golf. Very enjoyable. Old school golf. Very few houses near the course. And the ones that are near the course are not distracting. The only negatives are: the bunkers were hard and it is very easy to lose your ball in the rough. You must keep your ball in the fairway. The greens were in very good shape. Rolled true. I read in several of the reviews how different the front 9 and the back 9 are from each other. And they are. The back 9 are more interesting than the front 9. Oh and the River Course does not end at the Clubhouse after 9 holes. So make certain you get your eats and beverages before you start.

Played the River Course and it was decent at best. The lumps of mown grass in the fairways definitely impacted drive distance and the first cut of rough was over ankle high. It was apparent they were cutting grass as infrequently as possible. The course rangers seemed nice. The bathroom sign (see pic) made me laugh; printing the sign took more energy and time than it would’ve taken to fix the issue -or- CALL A PLUMBER! Of the numerous courses in the area skip this one and leave it to their “members”.
