Three of us had dinner on the patio. We all had different sandwiches and everyone was pleased with their food. Service was fine also. Only downside is the patio is in the alley and depending on the wind direction we would occasionally get hit with the rotting garbage smell from a couple dumpsters that belonged to the next door business. Not sure what the restaurant could do about it but next time we'll just eat inside. Problem solved.

Our visits before COVID were excellent so we tried them again a couple of days ago. Unfortunately it was pretty disappointing this time around. On the positive side the drinks were good, and all the employees wore masks, but those were the only two positives. There was only one server for the 8 or so tables in our section so service was slow. It took half an hour for our order to be taken and it was over another hour until we got our food. The tables themselves are way too close together and it's difficult to get in/out. The food would have been delicious (the ingredients themselves were good) except that all three dishes had clearly been sitting & waiting to be picked up so they were room temp by the time we received them and the bread on the Croquet Monsieur was burnt and almost impossible to saw through. The only food that was hot was the side of fries we ordered which arrived separately. We didn't bother sending it back since we were so hungry. Two drinks and two meals plus tip was over $60 which is just too much for what ended up being a mediocre meal.

This is a first. I have never felt inclined to review a resturaunt before, but Brasserie V earned it. The food was great. We usually come in for burgers and fries. The menu varies and some of the entree options are definitely more sophisticated. The beer was delicious (there are what feel like dozens of unique options on tap) and halfway through our meal one of the staff could be seen and heard screaming at & abusing the kitchen workers while she waved a cigarette around. I mean...that's gotta be some kind of health code violation, right?? Everyone could overhear and everyone was in shock. It was terrible. Who does that?? I'm nervous to go back. I like to enjoy my food. We came for dinner, not a show.

This is a cozy, relaxing restaurant/pub. The service is quite friendly and the food good. If you enjoy Belgian ales, the assortment is a treat. I had the Winter Smash Burger, which was cooked to my satisfaction and was flavorful. It was paired with a nice butternut squash soup (worth the price of admission). It would be easy to come here just to drink (several people did, while I was here), but do try the food.
