That technician, Tony, has done a great job. His team has done a remarkable job. I think I had spent the money in the right place through their service for chimney sweep in Austin. I'd like to hire them every year to clean my Chimney.

1) first chimney sweeper came and charged me $190 for looking with his phone in the fireplace just to tell me he could not really inspect the chimney because of time/equipment/weather and he had to come again. 2) they sent a different guy who had no idea on what the first guy said and came unprepared and could not inspect or clean the chimney and left saying they'll need to make a new appointment. 3) Third appointment for a Saturday 12-2pm, no show, no notice, nothing. I ended up wasting three hours of my Saturday sitting in the apartment waiting for a guy that didn't come. I called no answer. I emailed, no answer, only later in the day some note. While friendly, very poor experience, not sure why they have such a high rating here, I can't confirm.

I noticed that there might be an issue with my dryer vent and knew it had probably not been cleaned years if not decades. I made inquiries for estimates on Yelp and got the hard sell from Green Ductors, who told me that their special price was only good that day. It was indeed a good price, but I learned that you get what you pay for. First they canceled last minute b/c a worker had an injury. That's understandable, but then they came 7 hours before they said they were going to come (Sat. morning instead of Sat. afternoon), even though I had been told they would call when they were on their way. It nearly turned into a nightmare. The young man they sent insisted that I wouldn't be able to use my dryer again unless I let him cut a larger 1" hole in my ceiling. Luckily he backed off when confronted with my 6-foot husband. I ended up having to pay $75 extra above the quoted price for him to figure out how to reattach the vent, but at least I had a working dryer again. He left a bit of a mess behind. The owner reached out with the inspection report a week after the visit, offering to give a discount on future repairs, which was a nice gesture. They were experiencing technical difficulties and seem to want to do better in the future in person-to-person communication.
