Always enjoy my appointments with Dr. Ward, even though I know I am going to be getting a painful joint injection. He is up to date on the latest issues in his field, whether it be in the office to help prevent surgery, or if surgical intervention is needed, he is the best in the area. I can speak from experience because, my hip replacement has been perfect. Sometimes it is hard to tell the difference between back pain and hip pain. He was always very patient with me on this topic, and when I had pain and was sure it was my hip, he carefully explained the difference again and again between back and hip pain. He has a wonderful sense of humor and it is a joy to be around him. He has also answered questions about other joints where I have pain, and explained how arthritis can be so painful and sometimes, medication just does not help. He continues to inject my shoulder when the best plan would be a shoulder replacement, but he understands that with my age and other health issues, I just did not want to have the surgery.
