Sunrise Yoga Studio is the best yoga studio around! If you are really interested in learning yoga, this is the place for you. The instructors are engaging and knowledgeable and the studio owner, Valerie, is amazing. Her level of knowledge is unmatched in the Winston-Salem area. The fellow students are also great. This is a very friendly, warm, welcoming atmosphere.

"I have practiced yoga for over a decade. Sunrise Yoga Studio in Clemmons, NC has been my #1. It is a wonderful place, under the direction of Valerie Kiser with a variety of classes offered. As I have aged, the type of yoga I do has changed and the large variety of classes has enabled me to continue with my yoga pursuit. It helps to keep me young!"

I was fortunate to experience a Saturday morning class at Sunrise Yoga while I was in town for my daughter’s dance competition weekend. The class was well attended by students who obviously knew each other and the teacher very well. I was the new person and they made me feel very welcomed!!! The class was slow paced which actually made it more challenging. It was also made accessible to different levels of practice. There was great attention to alignment and correct posture. It was awesome. To top it off; I was probably so relaxed at the end that when I left the studio, my precious yoga mat stayed behind and I only realized it when I got home (a 3 hour ride). They were so kind to find it and ship it to me!!! I will for sure go back to them whenever I visit the Clemmons area again!!!

Usually a new 200 hour Teacher Training Program starts every September. It depends on what the COVID regulations and restrictions are at that time as to whether or not it will be online or not.
Usually nothing because we have props for everyone to use, BUT we are in COVID times and there are precautions that we must take, such as no prop sharing. So, please bring whatever props you may have such as... 1. Mat 2. Blocks 3. Blankets If you don't have these, don't worry, we can make do without them! We we do have new props for purchase at the studio, if you'd be interested it having some of your own to bring to class and/or to practice with at home.
You can sign up for a class by visiting our website (www.sunriseyoga.net). Click on "classes" then "schedule". Once you find the class that you want, click the box that says "Sign Up". Once you click that, it will prompt you for your information and how you want to pay. If it is a free class, it will let you sign up without payment.
Usually we do provide props (blocks, straps, blankets, mats, etc.) for class, however due to COVID we are not able to provide props at this time. You can bring your own props, buy some at the studio before or after class or no props at all. Just bring what you have and we can make it work or we can give alternative poses to perform.
We don't offer a free trial class, however we do offer two weeks of unlimited yoga classes and access to our Video on Demand Library for just $25. No commitment necessary, just two weeks for $25 to see if our studio fits your needs. You can purchase this two week trial on our website.

Yoga is unique because it connects the movement of the body and the fluctuations of the mind to the rhythm of our breath. Connecting the mind, body and breath helps bring our attention inward which allows us to recognize our habitual thought patterns.
Yoga is great for everyone! It is proven to help boost mobility, energy, flexibility, and even improve sleep.
The staff are all awesome. They show you different positions that help everyone's different body types. During classes, they encourage you to let them know if a position doesn't work for you, there are other modifications that can help you ease into it. The staff and participants, all, are helpful.
We do not teach Kundalini style yoga classes.
Our classes are held at room temperature, and we do not offer hot yoga.
I believe first session. But call the studio to confirm.
