Dolphin head is such a nice quiet beach area this time of year. Recreation area holds very good concerts in summer but sometimes a bug issue so come prepared.

Outstanding views. Nice small sand beach. No facilities or buildings. We had a nice sunset / moonrise picnic. Bring beach chairs or blanket / beach towels. Also some bug spray / insect repellant.

As others have mentioned, this area is private even though google will tell you it’s accessible to everyone.

You need an invite to get onto the Plantation
There is a small-ish parking lot for the beach. The beach and lot are not open to the public, though. You will need to have someone who lives in the plantation to call you in a pass.
