Honestly, I don’t know where to begin… This is my son’s second season playing rec soccer and it’s awful The coaches don’t seem to be too motivated to teach the kids the fundamentals of the game While I understand that they aren’t being paid much, they’re still being paid to do a job but could seem to care less (as I see three of them relaxing while five kids just randomly kick some balls around. 15 MINUTE UPDATE : coaches just got motivated after five being five minutes late) The big fields are the only fields with lines painted or decently maintained (which are the travel soccer field, I believe…not 100% sure) The bathrooms always smell awful, are nowhere close to clean and have more spiderwebs than a haunted house And don’t even think about complaining to the guy that heads it up…he makes it mega clear at orientation that you shouldn’t complain unless you’re going to volunteer (well, I’m not volunteering because I don’t know / play the game) We definitely won’t be returning after this season and that’s mildly disappointing because my son enjoys soccer but is discouraged because he isn’t being taught The positive about today is, the weather is beautiful…so there’s that UPDATE : the two coaches today are different than we’ve had before. Energy. Interactive. Teaching. Way better than the “normal” coaches
