Put your imagination cap on to visit this garden. The owner can't keep it up like he used to, but the bones are there. Check out the neighbor's topiary also. So close to the interstate easy to visit.

Well worth the trip to Bishopville. Mr. Fryer had such a gift, and I am glad there is someone who will be extending his legacy. I'm looking forward to the day when all the water features work again. I was also glad to see that the public bathroom is open.

This is at his home in Bishopville, SC. You just park and walk through his yard. There's a few of his neighbors who have their yards done also. There's pamphlets there. It's really nice!

The gentleman who owns it is very nice and down to earth. He has come out and talked with us at times when we visit.

I stopped Oct. 2nd 2020, everything over grown, untrimmed for quite awhile. Has Mr. Fryer died?

Mr. Pearl is still alive. Due to recent health issues, Mr. Pearl is not able to work on his garden consistently like he used to. He now has help from topiary artist, Mike Gibson, who helps him maintain the garden and daily operations. Mike also gives tours, and gives an awesome history lesson about Mr. Pearl and how he became the man he is today!

Does Pearl Fryar grow boxwood for sale too or is there a nursery/grower nearby where I can purchase large boxwood?

He got most of his plants from Lowes and at the time they were all but dead and he nursed them back to health. No he does not sell plants.
