Played here while visiting Charleston and it was a beautiful, well maintained course. It plays pretty open with lots of sand and hazards. Front 9 was pretty short yardage wise with many doglegs. Greens are slower than what im used to after a recent rain. I had a twilight tee time, $56 for 18 but pace of play was pretty slow. Was able to finish 9. Club rental was $35 Cart included with $56 green fee $5 for small range bucket Good beer selection upstairs in the bar. If I moved to Charleston would definitely become a member. 4 stars because slow pace of play and I called many times in the afternoon to ask about club rentals and nobody ever picked up, they seem short staffed.

We were apprehensive about playing this course because of some of the reviews. It is a very challenging course in excellent condition. Not one of their staff were anything less than helpful. So if you read a bad review on this course it was probably from a "GOLFER" who thinks they're better than they are . and are probably a little on the arrogant side to start with.

I’m pretty certain the negative reviews on this course are due to people who have poor rounds or aren’t very good golfers. This course was in excellent shape and the staff was great! It was a challenging course for sure but it was an overall great time!

I had the pleasure of caddying for my granddaughter on 7/18/2022 in a US Kids event. Charleston National is a very good layout in very good condition. It is challenging but fair. The pro shop staff was very friendly and accomodating. I look forward to returning and playing the course myself.
