Becky keys came to evaluate my progress. As we talked she handed me a gift package. Glimpsed and said thank you. Huged her for being so thoughtful. We talked about hand held shower. Keeping a straight face she did not let on there was a shower head in the bag. Please tell her how much i appreciate her. If you give me her address I will send her a card of thanks

Lack of communication between the office and case managers. Case manager didn’t arrive when scheduled. Doesn’t call when they tell the care giver their going to call to set up an appointment. Doesn’t call the primary phone number. Case manager doesn’t have the correct address that was on file.

Transportation, especially to medical appointments and procedures, is a popular home care service. It can often be arranged in a few hours, but the more notice given is always better. A regular planned schedule can be set up, or the caregiver can be used on an "as needed" basis.

How Are Caregiver Scheduling And Reliability Managed?

CenterWell Home Health | Sep 29, 2021
CenterWell Home Health | Sep 29, 2021

Our agency uses a phone-in time card system that alerts the scheduling supervisor if someone does not check in at the appointed time for any unforeseen reason, so that a supervisor can immediately come by to care for a client until the caregiver arrives or a replacement is arranged. This also guarantees that clients are accurately billed for the actual hours worked. It is one of the major advantages of working with an agency, the assurance and peace-of-mind that back-up staffing is an integral part of the service, especially for frail seniors.

Do You Provide Caregivers For Someone In An Assisted Living Facility?

CenterWell Home Health | Sep 29, 2021
CenterWell Home Health | Sep 29, 2021

Yes, we do. We first arrange a meeting with the family to conduct a thorough assessment and develop a plan of care. This is not only to fully understand what activities or senior care services are needed, but also to get a sense of what kind of personality might best suit him or her. After this is completed, we will match the person with a caregiver. If at any time you would like to change your caregiver, this can easily be arranged.

What COVID-19 precautions are the home care workers required to take?

The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) is presenting significant challenges for all of us, but especially older adults and people with chronic conditions who are most vulnerable to the virus. Our in-home care makes it possible for older adults to heed the CDC’s recommendation for social distancing while continuing to receive the care they need to manage existing medical conditions. We strongly believe that the care we deliver is lower risk than the delivery of care in other settings, where patients are more likely to be exposed. And in-home care can help prevent unnecessary hospitalizations. We are taking every possible precaution to protect our patients, their caregivers and our clinicians from the spread of the virus: · Every in-home clinician must pass a daily health screening before being approved for patient visits · We have restricted access to our branch locations for visitors, as well as clinicians to minimize our exposure to COVID-19 · We are employing the use of telehealth technology when appropriate · We are conducting risk assessments on every patient who is referred to our service or currently on our service · We require personal protective equipment when treating patients with confirmed positive COVID-19 tests and those under home monitoring for coronavirus · We have provided updated training on infectious disease control to all of our employees, including the proper use of protective equipment · We’ve established a multi-disciplinary task force to coordinate and lead our efforts related to COVID-19 Kindred at Home is also working in partnership with local, state and federal governments—as well as other home health agencies—to devise and promote industry-wide solutions to this growing health crisis. You can count on us to remain vigilant during this challenging time. We are 100% committed to you and your loved ones.
