My daughters and myself ate breakfast there a couple of days ago and the place was terrible. First, we ordered our drinks and they were out of milk. Second the entire table including the condiments were all sticky, like they never been washed. Third when the waitress finally came to take our order, she never wrote anything down and just assumed what we wanted when there were choices to be made. For example, if you want bacon or sausage, how you want your eggs, what type of fruit topping for the waffles etc… Basically it was going to be a mystery meal. When our food finally arrived. I had bacon and I did say I don’t eat bacon and that the she never gave us a choice. She did bring me sausage. Our food was terrible. Everything was cold except the hash browns. The waitress never came back to see how it was or if we needed anything. We will not be returning unless something drastically changes!

I’ve tried to eat here twice. The first time I was actively ignored while waiting to be seated, then told I was being rude when asking for someone to seat us. The second time I was seated quickly, then told by an exasperated server that they’re the only server and service will be very slow for us. That was enough for me. I tried IHOP for the convenience of a fast chain, but honestly, there are SO MANY options in Madison that are SO MUCH better. Try Monty’s Blue Plate, Wallalby’s Cafe, or any random coffee shop or cafe you come across. It’s worth it to try something different. It certainly can’t be worse.

My partner and I stopped in Madison on our way back home from vacation and we literally stopped at 3 other restaurants to try and get some breakfast/brunch, but every single one had a line out the door! I mean, that's great for the local businesses, but we were STARVING, so our last resort was IHOP. We were seated promptly and our waiter was very kind and did a wonderful jo taking care of us. My partner and I both ordered the Breakfast Sampler and it was delicious! I know IHOP is IHOP, but there are definitely good ones and bad ones. This location is a good one! The restaurant was clean, spacious and had a very nice atmosphere for the chain. If you're in Madison and just looking for a quick bite, give this one a shot. But as always, I suggest trying to support local businesses!

We eat here a couple of times a month. My son loves their French fries. I always go with breakfast. The food is always made to order and it’s always good. I have no complaints. The staff are helpful and understanding even though they seem a little understaffed.
