I'm continuing my report from earlier. Wife and daughter took countless pictures 📸. Wanted my grandson to stand up to the caboose coupler and look like he was stuck. Another great 👍 pictures for folks is to ask the tour guide if the spout from the water 💧 tower comes down. You know, hold the rope, make it look like you're about to get soaked. Totally forgot about it.

We had a great visit. Our tour guide had once worked for the railroad and he was very knowledgeable. It was nice being able to walk through all these old train cars.

Is there going to be a Polar Express this year?

I am afraid we cannot do our regular Polar Express this year. However, we are having Christmas at the Train on December 11 and 12, which complies with Covid recommendations. It will include reindeer games, Chritsmas vignettes outside by the theatre students at Greenwood High, ringing the bell on the engines, seeing the train in family groups, rides on a children's choo-choo, and, of course hot cocoa and cookies. The engine is all lit up for Christmas, we have a gingerbread house, and snowflakes galore in the wooded area, plus thousands of lights. It takes place between 5:30 and 8:00 on Friday and Saturday the 11th and 12thof December, and costs a modest $5.00 per person. Children under 1 year are free. Hope you can come join us!
