HelpMe Jesus (ChildofTraining)
Summer of 1994, filming of Renaissance Man starring Devito was finished, i snuck out twice to use pay phones, we had a rock fight with 2nd company, they were also going to try and innovate barracks arrangements between male and female after our class graduated. AIT was in Knox. Great memories. During pt i beat the whole batallion in 2mile runs, backwards, used to tick the Drills off 😄something awful.

Did basic from Sept.-Nov. 1968. It was only 8 weeks back then, just like an assembly line. The barracks were old not like the college dorms of today, good experience.

Carlos could you answer this question here please?
At the current moment, you should be able to. You should be getting information about the graduation of your soldier through their Company in the mail. This information normally goes to their home of record.
MEPS do not have the ability lto produce military id cards, you will have to go to a major military installation to renew your id card.
I would stop by the local veterans office and ask for assistance.
You can go to the basic training FB page once you know the unit he is in
Those school are not conducted at Fort Jackson. It’s Fort Benning
Trying to tell my story so that if OTHER recuits have the diagnosis I have (electrical impulse heart issues) and isn't found, it will look like heat exhaustion and no amount of forcing more drinking water, extra workouts, or fellow recruits "motivating" the person is going to help. Only a test of the electrical currents recorded on a simple device will show the root cause, requiring medicaiton and/or surgery. Instead, I can't sleep years later from a blanket party given me instead of my 18 yearold self being able to depend on the experts to look out for me. No I must fight my own government that I loved enough to serve, for years now? causing additional stress? I just want AWARENESS in the training units so no one pays the price I am paying.
From what ive seen and heard from being an applicant there recently they don't do that because of COVID restrictions. We were allowed to record it but no parents or family where allowed in the building
The MEPS stations wouldn’t be the place to ask. They should have something on the base website about graduation. But I would say if you can ask the soldier graduating they would be the best source. Since every company has a different date
10 weeks
Yes
Follow your SITS unit facebook page. They will provide any and all changes that are happening
Ma'am, this is not the correct address for soldiers in basic. When soldiers get to training, they should have information mailed by their basic training company to their home of record address. Or you may receive a letter from your soldier with details on how to mail them.
No visitors are allowed in MEPS, I signed last month and no one was allowed in. They do allow you to get your phones very briefly to take pictures, but right after that your phones go back in your bags.
There is a break for Christmas
Where are you located
Once an applicant departs MEPS USMEPCOM has no further interaction with them. You will need to contact your grandson's recruiter to determine his graduation date. Alternatively, you can contact Fort Jackson. Their website is https://home.army.mil/jackson/index.php
They'll run your fingerprints on site
Your state or govt license will be needed as well as vehicle insurance and registration to be on the safe side...they may ask if no govt ID is present..
Sorry, but I don't know this one.
While there isn't an absolute set time, the first ceremony usually starts between 1030 and 1100 depending on the number of shippers/applicants ready for it. Parents Etc are not allowed in the building until 0900. No purses/bags allowed for visitors.
Come in the gate. Depending on what unit your Soldier is in will be where you go for some things. Ask the gate Guard when you come through. There will be a blue line painted on the road that you follow to Hilton Field.
Dean, I don't think they do but the Recruiter might be the best course of action. However, be mindful the Recruiters goal is to get people in and therefore they might tell you what you want to hear.
MEPS is closed the 31st of Dec and wont be open until the 3rd of Jan. Get with your recruiter to find out about ship date and date to be at MEPS.
Nice name, Keisha. Quite Frankly they might have one on base.
Nope.
No. When you come in you are directed to your service liaison and sent straight to medical.
