Thanks for your interest in the Farm. Yes we do use crop protectant products and spray, but so do organic farms, so it’s actually a hard question to answer. Hopefully this will help. Here’s the break down - herbicide are used to kill weeds, insecticide - pesticides are used to kill bugs (pest) and fungicides are used to battle against disease, fruit rots, and molds. We use different types of farming practices here, example on our raspberries, asparagus, squash, tomatoes, green bean, lettuce, cucumbers, green peppers and blueberries we do not use any herbicides. We use a lot of wood chips, grow mats, plastic to keep all the weeds away and this is a so called organic practice and works very well for us. We also use cover crops and an intensive crop rotation to reduce pest, weeds and disease on our various fruits and vegetables. We practice IPM (integrated pest management) which involves a lot of scouting of the plants and fields, we do not just use crop protectant products on a sc
