I just want to take a quick second to warn all business owners/operators in the Carolinas. Do not us #capitalwasteservices. They do not dump as scheduled, half the time for that matter, but they are quick to hit you with unknown rate hikes and deduct the full amount from your account. And when you call to inquire why your services aren’t happening and request a prorated bill, they will ignore you. The trash of the trash kingdom. When you are in any business, your services provided, and especially your customers, are your reputation. Sadly, Capital Waste Services doesn’t see this, or feel this way. ***Update The President and CEO reached out to me via LinkedIn and asked that I contact him. He has promised to rectify the situation, and to make sure this experience doesn't happen again. We will see how it goes. *Update They have credited my account, came and serviced my dumpster, and given what I feel is an acceptable reason for what took place, being that my account was transferred over from recently purchased Pascon accounts. The Columbia area manager reached out to me as well. All has been addressed and rectified.

Writing this review on behalf of Midland Car Audio. We called several times today concerning our having to clear our parking lot for make way for the trash pickup because they did not pickup prior to our business openingas they would in times past.Each time we called I was informed that a dispatch tech would call us shortly. That didnt happened. We cleared the lot all day to make room for a trash pickup that did not occur. Our business parking lot is full of personal vehicles and UHAUL trucks daily and I made a special effort to keep the parking lot clear ALL DAY to adjust to this new pickup schedule that I was not notified of.

The company took over for a good company called Pascon. I have been scheduled for my dumpster to be dumped every Friday and it hasn't happened in the last 3 weeks I have to keep calling company to get them to come out. I pay my bill on time I expect the dumpster to be dumped every Friday.

Ms. Walker, Thank you for your question. We services areas 1 & 6 of Lexington County and recyclables are collected on the same day as household garbage. Recyclables are, however, on an every other week schedule. Please feel free to call our office at 803-814-0040 for a pickup schedule. Thank you for your business!
Dan G, Thank you for contacting us. We always recommend that cardboard boxes be placed in the recycling cart or next to it, but you may also place cardboard boxes next to your garbage cart if necessary.
A driver's license is not required for the back loader position.
Hi, Jo! The answer will depend on the county you live in. If it’s Richland County, you may take your paint cans to 1070 Caughman Rd N Columbia, SC. If you are a Lexington County resident, there are several recycling events throughout the year where you may recycle your paint cans. I would contact Lexington County at (803) 785-3340 for information on the next recycling event. I hope this helps!
All Lexington County residential customers will receive service on their normal schedule during the Memorial Day week. All Richland County customers will be on a one day delay. This is the schedule we are required to follow per our contracts. Thank you!

In Lexington County, all materials are serviced on the same day with 3 separate trucks. There is a household trash truck, a yardwaste truck for your branches and bagged leaves, and a recycling truck for your recyclables. Please note recyclables are collected on an every other week schedule. Thank you for being a customer!
