One Star is one too many. To start, they charge a lot over MSRP. I inquired on line about a QX60 with Saddle brown. I got a call from Christine and quoted me a price. Then, emailed me the info with the quote. Few days, I called her to set an appointment to see the car, she denied her original quote. She had a salesman call me. Then I found out that she’s only the web employee. I told Howie , the salesman , about the quote and shared her email, he told me that she made a mistake. And everybody makes mistakes, as said. I asked if he’s going to honor the quote he said No. I let it go for few days, then I got a call from Howie to tell me that someone is coming to see the car, I said it’s ok. A couple more days I got another call from Howie, now I agreed to place a refundable deposit on the car. We FaceTimed, showed the car to my wife and started the finance paperwork. Again after quoting me a rate, it went up when I received the paperwork to sign. I said I’m going to finance with my bank, I did. We drove down to get the car a 3.5 hours drive. I met Howie in person for the first time, was very pleasant, a lot of paperwork to sign, I thought it’s too much because I’m basically paying cash, with a check from my bank. Howie convinced me that they should register the car to save me time, they gave us a temp plate. After 2 weeks Howie calls me to ask for my wife’s. SS# , to be able to register the car. And they’ll send me another temp plate if needed. I said that I was never asked about SS# for registration, plus you should have it because we applied for financing there. He said that they didn’t have it and it’s needed in order to register the car. I contacted my state DMV , I was told that all I need is a bill of sale and a drivers license. I told Howie, he didn’t sound too happy that I asked. Now, I said refund me my registration money and I will register the car, he said that if I want to do it, I can but they don’t refund the money that I paid for that. I said why not. He said they don’t, but he’ll have a manager, Jessica, call me, she never did. The month is over, temp plate expired. Now my wife is driving an unregistered car, I called Howie and left a voicemail, it’s an emergency call me. I texted him the same , never heard back from him, ever. I call the dealership spoke with JJ finance manager, I told her about what happened and I explained that if my wife gets pulled over and the car is towed away, they are responsible for that.and I may file a complaint in court, she giggled. She told me that NY doesn’t issue 2 temp plate for the same car, and that the cops know that it’s a new car and it takes time , they’ll understand. She sounded like she’s written the laws. I explained that it is still illegal to drive unregistered car. She said that it’s in my state’s court, they have the paperwork, the dealership sent them out 2 weeks ago. I went to my local DMV office, a lady at a window asked to help me, I told my name. The lady in the next window over heard me, called me over, and said that recognized the name, because she received an urgent FedEx envelope. With an overnight return envelope, to process this registration Yesterday late afternoon . She did and sent back. I wrote an email to JJ to tell her about all that. She didn’t comment about the fact I caught them lying, she said we’ll overnight the registration to me. It took them another week. So lying from the start, but I’m the nice guy who went along with it to buy my wife the car she likes. Not sure why they do this, what’s the point or purpose, completely unprofessional, unethical and inconvenient. So be careful buying a car from PEPE INFINITI, white plains, NY
