Beautiful lake, nice swimming area, but not really big. Decent bathrooms to change in.

Gorgeous! We stopped just to get the dog out and let my son play. There's a cute playground and sand court for volleyball. Great stop for stretching legs. I could see this could get very busy in boating season as there is a boat launch here as well.

Peaceful and quiet around sunset. The trees were flaming with color and the water still crystal clear as always! Even found a Petoskey Stone!!

As long as the water level is low, there is a good 20 feet of sandy beach! There is also a playground, restrooms, and boat dock. Love this little hidden gem!

Yes but there is a $10 fee idk where you put the money but it says each watercraft is $10... if you want to do it for free go to the south side of the lake to the sand bar there's private spots

It is not a large swimming area and can sometimes be a little crowded. I'd say the draw of this park is not so much about the beach as the grass, pavilions, basketball court, volleyball net, playground equipment, public bathrooms, AND the beach. It's great for options in case not everyone wants to swim.
Central Lake, Elk Rapids and Alden have rentals. Possibly others.
Yes, dogs are welcome. No dogs in the waters with swimmers though.
