We don't go anymore because everytime we went there would be a group of guys standing (usually in the am) around doing nothing but chatting but when you go to get on a piece of equipment, they would say I'm using it! How when you have been nowhere near it for an hour. And people working there saw them do it to.....It happened 3x...since they want to act like they own the place...let them have it. We took our business elsewhere.

We do offer swim lessons for toddlers. You can learn more and register on the YMCA of South Hampton Roads website.
Hi Norma, thanks for reaching out. Yes, the YMCA of South Boston/Halifax County pool is open throughout the day for open swim, water exercise classes and lap lane swimming. We do ask that you make a reservation through the website to reserve your spot. We have an individual membership for $38/month, an adult plus one membership for $46/month, or a family membership for $56/month. Membership depends on whether it's for an individual or a family. They also have an assistance program if you are low income. They do have child care during certain hours of the day.
