I give 3 stars just because what food I did get was excellent. Supposed to have been all you could eat catfish. Only got one serving. Service sucked! I do recommend the place though. I think they was running low on catfish and went fishing cause our server never came back. Lol

They are short staffed. If you need a job check here. Waited 45 mins for food. They served people they knew who came in after us. The food was hot and good and the server was a hoot when she came by.

I work wherever work takes me, and I usually grab breakfast and lunch close by the job site. My latest job took me to Rutledge, TN, and subsequently, to the Down Home Restaurant. My first impression was AWESOME! I love this place! The staff was very friendly and the food…OMGOODNESS, it was delicious and a bargain for what you get! I’ve stopped in several times since and haven’t been disappointed once! Stop by, you’ll be glad you did!

This is a Restaurant we drive over an hour to go visit. Their food portions are plenty, food presentation is great. The staff are friendly and on top of making sure you have plenty of drinks and always checking in case you need anything else. I love this beautiful country Restaurant. It's definitely worth the drive.
