Tucked way back in the mountains but still easy to get to, just follow the signs. Rustic old lodge with a ski mountain for real skiers and boarders. Technical terrain forces you out of your comfort zone and improves your skills. Not for the fashion resort types. Snowboarding with a 12 year old equals lifetime memories.

Overal meets expectations. The slopes themselves are actually better than what I expected. There’s a good couple of curvy areas and some steep sections too. There’s actually a good bit of jumps here. Facility definitely needs updating like most do but it is at least cheesy instead of trashy. The crowd here is a bit more behaved than other resorts. Speaking of crowd, there aren’t too many people here so parking and getting in and out is actually possible! My biggest issue is the ski lifts. They’re pretty sketchy to be honest. They could use an overhaul Anyways this place is worth going to if it is closer to you than sugar or beech mtn.

Positives: -Friendly staff, especially at the entrance gate. -Great views from the top of the ski lift. -Decent lodge with huge fireplace. -Close to Asheville. Negatives: -Let me know that backpacks aren't allowed after waiting 10-15 minutes in line to get on the lifts. Only place I've ever been that doesn't allow backpacks. This is not posted on any signs around the ticketing booth/lodge or on their website..😤 -Lifts are slow as molasses and may break your ankles or knees if you're not expecting the seat to hit you in the calf area and possibly trap your leg underneath during a slow takeoff. -Runs are too icy, especially towards the top. -People will clog up runs by sitting down in the middle of the path, creating dangerous situations. Would be nice if ski patrol could come down every so often to make sure people are safely moving to the side once they're able to.

My son and I board a bunch. This was first time we have been. This place is a little gem Hidden in the hills. They were just getting their snow base caught up, was a little rough, but very fun!!

Could be that they are closed for the day that's why your not getting an answer try sending an email that usually have decent email but sometimes the reception up there is quite difficult
They have closed the ski lift for the season. See if there is another number for lodging.
Why aren't pets allowed and how much are reservations

We do not allow pets at the resort.
Generally we receive the majority of our natural snowfalls Dec - Feb. As with any outdoor activity, we rely upon Mother Nature heavily. Thankfully, we are able to give her a hand as long as the temperature is where we need it to be. However, we can never truly predict what our snow base will be days or weeks in advance. It is always best to check the Snow Report page (skiwolfridgenc.com) which is updated daily for the latest information.
We rent Ski Bibs which are the water resistant ski pants. We do NOT rent jackets, gloves, hats or goggles. Goggles and gloves are available for purchase in our Gift Shop.
