It would be a very good idea to call the shelter and ask directly so there's no misunderstanding about what items may be donated.. Btw, I commend you for this great idea as a youth to bring to pass miracles and such kind humanity. Thank you

I don't know My guess is no. I've never been there but know of people who have.

It depends on if they have space or not, if they already got you down they just waiting for a unit to be cleaned. So if not tommorow, you'll be hearing something by Tues next week.

Nobody would lock you out with a kid there, I see too many people saying negative things about the shelter without even having spoken to staff first, there are phone numbers you can call to get an immediate response. As for not sending out mail, I had my recertification for my food stamps and I sent out the paper copy through the office and it was sent just fine. If someone is going into your space without knocking you being inside only means you didn't answer your door, you are signing papers when you enter the shelter saying that you agree to the check ins with staff and also you gotta understand that's not your place, you're not supposed to be that comfortable. Your best bet is to save your money and be out like everybody else. Sixth st shelter is a great place for families, well for the ones who put in the work. The help a lot and they actually do care. Try talking to someone.

No its a family shelter.. Couples with children or single parents with children. Call 211 to find out info about mens shelters.
