The Berkeley is absolutely beautiful and Marysol has been such an angel! Marysol was beyond helpful throughout the entire leasing process. The location is great and the building has so many amenities. Huge thank you to Marysol for all of your assistance!

Caveat Emptor If you are considering renting at The Waypointe, think thrice at the very least. The reasons are outlined below. Management: unresponsive, clueless and unprofessional. The only time they respond is when they want to “chat about the way their team was spoken to” after you submit a complaint, not when you’ve called 20 times about how to pay your rent after they’ve changed their portal for the third time in 2 years and that’s not working. Staff members have the audacity to say in front of tenants: “I’m going to go pretend I’m working”. Safety: none. Multiple incidents of crime- shootings and theft occurring regularly on the premises. Maintenance: dog excrements and gross smelling stains all over the carpet that is never ever cleaned up. Amenities: barebones gym with beat up equipment and broken mirrors. $400 fee for using the (anti)social space with destroyed couches and stained carpets and a section of rental items like vacuum cleaners filled with dirt. Pool is always closed because of broken glass or biohazards in it. I’m not sure why or how this place is allowed to label themselves as “luxury” in the ads and on the phone lines.

Great apartments, amenities and staff is courteous, helpful and friendly. The hallways are abysmal, dark and carpets are stained and old. Great amenities, gym, pool, kids room I hear there is a rooftop deck with ocean views but haven't been there. Garage parking doesn't really make sense. Residents should be allowed to park on the retail floors after a certain hour and before a certain hour. Also the garages are dark and filthy because of a strange drainage problem. Since the new management company has taken over the power has gone out for a moment at least 4 maybe 5 times in the last month and a half. Doesn't sound like a big deal but when you are trying to work from home and the power goes out during an important conference call and it takes 10 min for your internet to come back it is a big deal. Also for some reason the trash and recycling chutes backed up a couple of times and I couldn't throw away my trash without going to the street level. Love the inside of the apartment. Very sleek and modern. Huge island that is useful for anything that requires a flat surface. Gas stoves are great and dishwasher is quality. Super convenient having the washer dryer right next to the huge island. Water pressure is awful. Barely gets the conditioner out of my hair and takes longer to warm up. The apt numbers don't make any sense. The Uber and grocery people can never find my apartment. Lastly, my biggest gripe and the thing that makes my experience living here a terrible one. The ceilings/floors must be very thin I think. It sounds like there are elephants upstairs running around throwing bowling balls at each other. Maybe its just my upstairs neighbor but I can't imagine they are doing anything out of the ordinary. I mentioned it to the former management company multiple times (which they said, they can't do anything and that I should call the police) and even wrote my neighbors a nice letter asking them to be mindful of the noise during late / early hours. Neither helped. Constant booming and banging. It's really enough to drive a person mad. All in all I wouldn't stay past my year here. Unless of course it was on the top floor. That way I knew I wouldn't have to deal with the unreasonable noise.

Awful! I was at the Berkeley and for awhile it was great. Stay clear of this place. Now, there is no concierge that we pay for, you can’t get your packages on weekends. Filthy, holes in the wall, dog urine in the garage, two maintenance people, no housekeeping, lights are out in the hallways. Management has a first grade education, they do not pick up the phone nor do the respond to you phone calls. I called the main number at corporate in TX and it took five times for someone to pick up. I left a message nobody called me back. They're billing is incorrect and it's a fight to get it corrected. Honest review! This is not a luxury apartment building at all.
