I have been a Laithwaithes wine club member since 2010. I get a reserve case 6 times a year and also belong to another club. Periodically, Laithwaithes sends material about a good deal on a good case, and some I buy. The wines are consistently good and the reason I remain with Laithwaithes, but customer service is AWFUL! They will refund a bad bottle if you know the order number. Access the order page and you see order numbers, no case descriptions. Assume you let a case age, and 2 years after purchase learn a bottle is corked, Laithwaithes wants you to tell them the order number, which requires more time than some bottles are worth! They used to have frustrating customer service in Florida, but decided that was too customer friendly, so now you get people who speak English as a second language and cannot understand wine names to look them up if you don’t know the order number. It’s beyond frustrating!! Laithwaithes will sell you good wine, but Do Not Expect assistance! They will refund a bad bottle if you have an hour to look up an ancient order number.

I received a case of wine I was not expecting. A few days later I check my credit card statement and I was charged for two cases on two different cards. I call customer service and they tell me I am a part of the holiday collection that ships twice a year. I checked my account online and I only see the wine club membership. I updated the card information on my account over 6 months ago because I am no longer using the original card on file. The best this company can do is give me a $20 credit. I am angered at the fact the company used card information I no longer have on my account and signed up for a membership I did not sign up for. I am angered at the fact I was given warning on the wine club shipment only. I enjoyed this membership but will not support a company that charges and adds my membership to clubs I did not consent to, nor use credit card information that is no longer on my account. I would like a refund, but according to customer service, the best that can be done is a $20 credit for my next shipment. I have never canceled a membership so fast. So disappointed...

Similar experience: I paused the shipment for one quarter since we simply had no room left in our wine cooler. They ship anyway and when I call they explain that this was a "special shipment" but they had already charged my credit card. Needless to say that I disputed the charge and canceled my membership. Recommending to stay clear of this scam operation!!

The wines is good but the billing system is a mess . They said we owed them money, we didn’t, and received a written apology from a manager. A year later we still don’t have a shipment and they still say we owe money but we don’t.

My wine was never delivered because it was damaged in shipping they never called to reschedule I have been on the phone since October trying to get a refund they don’t return the money it is on my card
Some place in Maine which I forgot to write down. So once more I have to call them to get it. Seems like a scam to get you to give them your card information. Or is it just a poorly run Brit company?
