We do not recommend doing busy with Carlson's Flooring. Very difficult to get a breakdown of pricing for any estimate. When we asked for a breakdown of cabinets, found hidden custom work expenses when I explicitly said I didn't want custom expenses. I was not able to work directly with the kitchen designer, but rather a 'middle man' who would write down my requests and convey then to the designer. This caused a lot changes. After two renderings, I was required to make a $1500. deposit. After I made my deposit the price of my cabinets increased nearly doubled in 30 days. I questioned the price increase, i was told that the current economy was to blame. I decided against doing busy with Carlson's and he has agreed to refund me for $500., keeping $1000. for his time spent on design. We tried to do other business with Carlson's, he gave us sq ft price on vinyl flooring. We felt he was price gouging in order to keep our deposit money so we checked in with one of the guys up front on the price per square foot. Yeah, interesting he gave us the original lower price when we had looked at the flooring earlier. He told us the price has been the same for some time. He then looked online and found our names and said "oh, I see you are working with Travis, you'll need to work with him on a price" The owner, Travis Carlson, is not an honest businessman. I cannot recommend doing business with Carlson's Flooring.

We purchased engineered hard wood floors through Carlson's. We wouldn't do it again though. We expected to get knowledgeable guidance on floor selection, but feel as though we just got sold flooring by a salesman. The communication of our needs between sales and the installer was not good, leading to a fair amount of stress on our end. We also experienced a problem with the floors right after installation, and received no guidance on how to correct it. I was told that the owner would have to get involved, but 6 weeks later we have not heard a word from anyone at Carlson's. Pretty disappointing overall especially considering the more than $12k we paid them for new floors.
