On June 23rd, 2022, I took and passed the NYS Notary exam on my first try! I received my test results in about two weeks (July 5th), not the two months that some proctors say to scare test-takers. The proctors are efficient, and I heard that the proctors score the tests the same day. I sat for the exam at the 123 William Street, Manhattan, NY location. The study materials in this course made a profound difference in my success. If anything, this course will over-prepare you for the exam. As for the test day experience, I would say it was nostalgic and reminded me of taking the SAT sometime in the late 1980s or 1990s. In addition, the question types used in this course are very similar to those of the actual notary exam. My advice to test takers is to know the Notary Law, study all the definitions, make flashcards, and review the materials in this course every day. Bring a check for 15 dollars for the exam, and please remember all the notary fees, because they could be asked on the exam (hint). It is also true that after taking this course, you can finish the test in 12-15 minutes. I think I was the first one to finish the exam. Because I took this course, I enjoyed a testing experience that most test takers would otherwise find loathsome. Make sure to bring several sharpened number 2 pencils and carefully fill out your scantron as you would if taking an old-fashioned standardized test. A good idea would be to check your answers before motioning to the proctor that you have finished the test and are ready to leave. Good luck! Evan B

I thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated this course! I passed the notary exam this week and could not be more overjoyed. I signed up for the online courses. Once I completed the course the school kept the course open until I took the notary exam. There were extensive delays for New York County and so I reached out to the school to ask if they could grant me more time to continue to access the course and study. Without reservation they kept the course open for me. I especially loved Section 6 random quiz, where each time you take the quiz, the questions are different. This was a lifesaver as I took the quiz up until the morning of my exam. I scored a 98% that day so I was confident going into the exam. It took me about 10-15 mins to take the exam. I believe I was one of the first ones finished because the instructor asked me "are you done already" I said yes and prayed I made the right choice by not staying longer and going through the questions again. Two weeks later I got the results and when I saw PASSED I cried. Thank you NY Notary Public Licensing! Your course complimented the Executive Law well, as it reinforced the laws in an innovative way to make it fun and memorable.

How much is the courses
Every office needs a notary....doesn't yours? Great for Resume, employment and getting respect from co workers.
Yes, it is on line 24/7 including Saturday however the live class is not on Saturdays. See more details at www.NotaryEverything.com
Good question. The exam fee is $15 paid by check or money order to the "Department of State". You can use Visa or MC. It is not included in the classes fee.
Yes, Notaries Licensed anywhere in New York State have a jurisdiction within the physical boundaries of the state. You cannot notarize while in another jurisdiction (outside NYS.)
Yes, the license does not transfer since each state has separate statutes & licensing procedures. For example there is not an exam in N.J. You currently can only notarize things within your jurisdiction, which is the physical boundaries of NJ. If you have a job place in NY state you can qualify by passing the N.Y. licensing exam.
Hello I am sorry the state only has in person exams. The procedures, locations & schedules are at the following link: https://www.howtobecomeanotaryinny.com/ny-notary-exam-schedules.html
The exam schedule for October 2020 has not been released by NYS yet. September is at www.HowToBecomeAnotaryInNY.com and October will be there when released. Under normal conditions exam schedules are published 6 months in advance however not currently due to the declared emergency. The website is updated daily.

I do not know of actual persons or Notaries Public with that name. You can verify or search licensed officers at the following URL: https://appext20.dos.ny.gov/lcns_public/chk_load
