my card hasn't been lost or stolen, I attempted to pay my water bill before heading to the grocery store to buy food and the worker stated that my card had been flagged as fraud. Called the Cooley branch and got Tracy who seemed like it was an inconvenience that I call about this. she stated that all cards were shut off and the new ones were supposed to be used starting today, she then transferred me to someone else who stated that I should have received a new card and if I haven't then it would take 2 weeks to get a new one and I have to go online basically figure it out for myself (I truly hope all calls are recorded for validity purposes, bc this is crazy!). I asked how I was supposed to go buy food now and she didn't have a response other than I could still pay my bills using my routing and account, so I guess I can pay my bills but will starve for the next 2 weeks. on top of it I didn't get any notifications as she claimed I should have, no messages, no email. this is beyond ridiculous and something that I refuse to stay quiet about! I'm living in Kentucky currently, its not like I can go to a branch and withdraw cash!

Horrible bank, horrible experience starting a loan and opening a simple account, horrible website, long hold times… when I got my loan I was going to do all my banking at Freedom so I didn’t have to manage a separate account. I’m extremely glad I didn’t do that. Nasty attitude on so many people I spoke to when I explained my frustrations.

Hi Haigi. If you live or work in Hampden, Hampshire, Franklin or Berkshire County in Western Massachusetts, you can join the credit union. You would need to open a membership account with a minimum of $5. You can open your accounts right online or stop into one of our branches.

If you don't still have the confirmation email from when you set up your account online with your username, you will need to call our Member Contact Center at 413-739-6961 to assist in resetting it. They can also assist you in getting a new ATM card if you have lost it. Please note there will be a replacement card fee.

Hi Ileana. We have an overdraft program attached to our checking accounts with a $500 limit. This limit does not change. Please note that the program has fees associated with it to cover any overdrafts.
Hi Mike! West Springfield Federal Credit Union is now a Freedom Credit Union branch located at 58 Union Street. As of March 25th, the branch became a Freedom branch.
No, we are not the same as your credit union in Maine. We are limited to membership to those living or working in the four counties of Western Massachusetts. Each credit union has their own by-laws as who can qualify for membership.
