Wonderful Sunday morning shopping. Fresh farm produce, some artisan cheeses and ciders and beers, some farm fresh killed chicken, and a fish vendor.

Cool farmer's market next to Central Park right by the Natural History Museum. If you're around on a Sunday and looking for some good groceries, you should definitely stop by here. We bought a little 🧄🧈 🍎 🧀 and salami. Everything was of very good quality. We regret not having bought any bread. The sellers are all very friendly and helpful. The price is ok for New York, but quite high-priced for us Europeans, but I think it's okay for the quality on offer. Overall a great atmosphere. We were very happy to have found this market by accident. We will definitely repeat a visit on a future stay. Absolutely to suggest!

Textile recycling is gone by 12 noon. Do not show up with a huge bag of clothes to drop closer to 12:30 as website advertises!!

We ask that all shoppers/visitors: • Be Kind • Wear a face covering while in the market. • Mind the farmer lines and stay 6-feet apart. • Do not touch the products, farmers will handle it for you. • Keep your market trip as short as possible and do not linger in the market. • Limit your shopping party to 1-2 people. • Please leave your dog(s) with a family member outside the market or at home. • Bikers should lock their bike outside of the market. Visit grownyc.org/covid19 for info on pre-order and delivery options. Have a happy, safe, and healthy market trip!

Hi Cynthia! Yes--Grazin Angus does attend the 79th St Greenmarket. Please visit our https://www.grownyc.org/greenmarket/ourmarkets to use our website tool which allows you to find out what farmers and products are available at any given market.
Hi, Phyllis! Yes--we still have year-round clothing and food scrap collections at the 79th Street Greenmarket every Sunday from 9am to 1pm. The market layout changes when construction happens so you won't find the collection stations in their usual spot. If you have any issues finding them, head to the Market Information Tent and one of our staff can direct you towards the collection stations.
