Jay Suski at detective division is the example every police should model themselves after. Professionalism and excellence at its best. Hope he takes on the whole department and becomes Chief once current leader retires. 2022 Update: Jay Suski retired, however the majority of the force is professional and outstanding despite corporate politics and playing numbers games with key performance metrics that do not always reflect what our community would want, but it is a hard time to be in the police business anywhere so it is understandable they want to “cover their ass” which sometimes leads to actions not in the best interest of our community.

I Recently called for a wellness check when i believed someone’s life was in danger. I never received a follow up call from anyone to ask for additional information or to tell me the results of their inquiry. I called 3 or 4 times over the course of a week and a half and my calls were never returned despite the messages i left at the responding officers desk. I still have zero information on what happened or if an officer even went to the call. One of several negative interactions with this department over the years.
