My experience with Dr. Lichten and his staff was excellent!!! Let me take time to brag about his care and concern for his patients. Before going to my consultation with Dr. Lichten, I went to several other surgeons for consults. When I arrived at Dr. Lichten's office, I was immediately greeted and my wait time was not even five minutes before being taken to a room. For the initial consultation Dr. Lichten and Nurse Jill were present. Both of them of phenomenal! My questions were answered thoroughly and beyond. Not once did I feel nervous or uneasy during the consultation. I was a smoker, not heavy. By the time I left Dr. Lichten's office from his explanation of the mental aspect of why individuals smoke and how to stop I was firm in my commitment to stop. I was able to completely stop within 2 weeks. I ultimately chose Dr. Lichten because I was so at ease with him and his staff, their professionalism is amazing, communication is excellent, he is very personable and because of the extra time he spent talking to me about smoking. All other doctor's I have ever had even for routine care just say stop smoking, it's unhealthy and the usual speech. I knew then that Dr. Lichten was cared for people as a whole not just a patient. I have had two procedures with him. One a TT, after weight fluctuations left me unhappy how my stomach looked. The other removal of a lipoma in my arm. I am extremely satisfied with my TT results! The hospital he performs procedures at I absolutely loved! Again I was so at ease, not worried or nervous at all going into the procedure. My pain was very minimal. By day 3 I could barely feel any pain, except when laughing. By day 7 I was driving. I did not use any pain medication at all besides Tylenol twice the entire healing process. That was day one and two. I felt so good that going to my follow up appointment I asked if I could exercise yet. Of course not! I received a firm no not happening from Dr. Lichten and Nurse Jill (smiles). I followed my care directions entirely and had no issues with healing at all. My second procedure went great. I did not have any pain with the lipoma being removed from my arm. That also healed great. I am undoubtedly grateful I chose Dr. Lichten!

Thank you for contacting Central Ohio Plastic Surgery, Inc. I am board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and an Active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. We offer a full range of plastic, reconstructive and cosmetic procedures including eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) and many other techniques to rejuvenate the facial appearance. There are many variables that work into what specific procedures you should consider for correcting your concerns about your eyelids. This may include skin care or chemical peels to improve fine lines, pigmentation irregularities, or the overall appearance of the skin. Botox may be used to soften wrinkles around the crow’s feet and Restylane may be used to fill in the area under the eyes. Sculptra may be used to add volume to and restore the cheeks and lower eyelid area. Surgical techniques can address the eyelids and facial balance in the brow, cheeks, jawline, neck and face.

Your primary care physician should be able to give you a referral to a participating physician in your area. Usually this would be a plastic surgeon or ENT surgeon. Best of luck. Let us know if we can help or you want your primary care physician to send the referral to us.

Is this the right place for liposuction from gynecomastia in men?

Thank you for choosing Central Ohio Plastic Surgery. We look forward to welcoming you into our practice. Since we opened our doors in 2005, we have offered a full range of cosmetic and reconstructive procedures. I am a board-certified plastic surgeon and body contouring procedures are amongst the most common surgeries I perform. There are several different procedures used to treat gynecomastia. One choice is liposuction, where small incisions are made around the areola, or possibly through the armpit in the natural contour of the breast. Through these incisions, I am able to insert a cannula (hollow metal tube) and loosen and remove fat tissue. Sometimes it is necessary to remove excess fat and skin, in which case incisions may be made in the natural contour of the breast and around the areola. Sometimes it may be necessary to reposition the nipple. The extra skin and fat is removed through the incisions, and the incisions are sutured shut. We also use VASER liposuction.

Do you have surgery to remove scar from the face?

Biniam Weldemichael | Sep 29, 2021
Central Ohio Plastic Surgery | Sep 29, 2021

Yes. Scar revision is a procedure that we offer. There are many variables that work into what specific procedures you should consider for correcting your concerns about your scars. This may include skin care, chemical peels, laser resurfacing or surgical revision. This will mostly depend on the location, condition, age and what your overall concerns are for the scar. Depending on what techniques you choose, the results may be immediate or take weeks or months to get the full results. Some procedures have minimal “down-time” and patients can go back to work or out to dinner with little to no makeup on the same day. The best way to figure out which procedure is right for you is to come in for a consultation.
