I love the space. Friendly baristas :) Expensive drinks but thats a given in New York already but nonetheless its beyond tasty, matcha was great too.

Other than the average coffee, the service left a lot to be desired. The inside temperature of the store was hotter than the summer day outside. No napkins, no spoons, filthy condiments area. Not sure what all the hype is about.

It can get very crowded, but yes, it's a good place to meet someone. There are tables inside and outside and there are public spaces nearby if all the Blue Bottle seating is taken.
