Called in an order. Our phone service was going in and out. The lady was very patient and took the long order. We picked it up and everything was just as ordered. The food was very good!!

Stopped for lunch on our way home from visiting my parents. I've been a fan (and a critic) of Steak 'n Shake for 30 years. If you search my reviews you'll find one we stopped at in GA that should be closed, it was poorly run and nasty. BUT...on the opposite end of the spectrum is this exceptionally clean (albeit a newer restaurant) and we'll run restaurant in Hazard. We were greeted immediately by an incredibly friendly young woman, our lunch was fantastic (doubles) and we two perfect peanut shakes to go.

i eat here maybe 3 times a week. i usually get a triple steak burger w all the fixin's and cheese (recently off the vegetarian wagon) which is absolutely picture perfect every time. the window staff are super efficient, and the floor staff are amazingly helpful and friendly. if i could justify red meat so often, i would eat here every day for the food and the atmosphere. 10/10.
