We visited Wilmington and just needed a quick snack on our way to the bars and we stumbled upon the Waffle House downtown Wilmington, NC. We were greeted by Elizabeth s. And she ran the show!!!!! Cooking, smiling, making our experience. She is one of a kind.

I love the waffle house franchise, but this one just didn't hold up. The service was friendly, but we didn't receive any refills after asking twice. Our food was less than stellar. Our homefries and bacon didn't seem to be fully cooked either.

Well let's start with, it's Waffle House. If you don't know what your in for. Go somewhere else. This waffle house was the same as all others re. Buildout. Menu. Etc . However, it was cleaner than normal, less sticky too. Staff was more friendly and helpful than most waffle house. The food is what it is.

Usually I avoid Waffle House for obvious reasons but this location was great! They had a doorman who opened the door for my family which was pretty impressive. The food was cooked to perfection and the place was clean. Service was exceptionally good as well.
