I love this place. I've been going to Metro for 20+ years. It's like Cheers. Everyone knows your name and no matter how long you've been gone you're still welcomed home. Though there has been alot of turn over of staff and pastoral leadership over the years as well as many different locations the general philosophy has remained the same... to reach the lost for Christ.

This is a wonderful church that I have had the opportunity to visit several times. The pastor is knowledgeable, experienced, wise and most importantly loving, kind and generous. After serving the same congregation for more than 20 years, the pastor and his family have been proven to be the "real deal". He travels extensively around the world as an evangelist, often filling large auditoriums. The church is bi-lingual (English/Spanish) and offers service times for each language. The music is contemporary and musically well performed. The church operates in the Spirit-filled, Pentecostal/Charismatic paradigm, but it is very modern in feel and operation- and welcomes believers from all denominations. The church also partners with a ministry which distributes thousands of pounds of food to the needy frequently and operates children's programs in many areas of Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx that assist children by teaching the Good News of Jesus along with character skills, anti-drug messages and positive spiritual faith and mental health formation. Give them a try if you are in the Bushwick area, or it is worth traveling a pretty good ways to get there as well. They are not too far from the J train. They currently rent a facility and meet at 871 Bushwick Avenue. If you are looking for God, you can find him at this church. They make Jesus very accessible and minister to people from all walks of life, economic status, color, language and background. Yes, I am friends with these people, but this is an unsolicited and honest review.
