I am very active Catholic Church member. Teach Sunday school, youth group and retreats. My family and I were in the weekend in Melbourne. We did not want to miss Sunday Mass. We found this “Catholic” Church and was extremely unusual. Not welcoming at-all. Felt judge and could not see a smile in nobody’s face. Priest said he could not give us Communion because we need to speak to him first, and we were not members of the church. So he just gave us the blessing. Funny that they took our donations anyways, without been members too. Be careful if you do not want to feel humiliated, judged and criticized.

Thank you for providing traditional Latin mass sermons.

Traditional Catholic Latin Mass. Reverential and sacred. Deeply meaningful in form and function. This allows for personal repentant prayer, elevation of the sacred scriptures, Christ's sacrifice as manifested in the Eucharist and the thankful commission. Sermons are very thoughtful and can relate to everyday events, deep theological issues, historical examples and even some Catholic Catachism as practiced pre Vatican II. All ages are present and respectful of all.

I was in the Melbourne area on business and searched online for the closest Catholic Church to my location. I am a devout Catholic actively involved in my church and do not like to miss mass especially communion while I'm traveling. When I entered the church shortly before mass I was a little taken back as it seem to be very nontraditional; almost cult-like. All the women who attended were veils and there was no ushers and no one greeted me and I felt somewhat like an outcast. The service started 15 minutes after start time, the priest never welcomed parishioners and did some form of ritual in the front of the church I think it was in Latin for almost 20 minutes before he started mass . He said a couple readings and then went straight to the homily. When he started the homily he said he noticed a few new attendees in mass and informed us that this Catholic Church was not associated with pope Francis and that anyone who attended had to be a member of that church in order to receive holy communion. As soon as he said this I was appalled and got up and walked out and exited the church. I was so embarrassed and humiliated not so much for me but for the Catholic Church as I do not believe this is what Christ wants in our churches. I felt very sad after this experience. Anyone visiting the Melbourne area and is used to attending the traditional Catholic mass should definitely not attend this church as you will be very disappointed.
