Wish I could say I had a good experience. Easily one of the most painful massages I have had and not in a good way. I have neck trouble from an injury 20+ years ago. About 2X a year I will sleep wrong and end up with a terrible stiff neck. I use to pay the chiropractor, but discovered a massage can do the same thing for less. I was traveling and messed up my neck, so I stopped in for a shoulder and back massage. The woman spent 2 -3 minutes on my shoulders, then went to my lower back. She then spent half the massage on my glutes, thighs, and calves which weren't even part of the massage I ordered. A good portion of the massage consisted of her taking the point of her elbow and grinding it against my spine, rib cage or any other bone she could find. Deep tissue massages hurt, that is usually part of it, but this was not that. This was bone on bone, her laying with all her body weight on me. Even when I was tightening my muscles and pulling away she continued, until I finally waved at her and asked her to stop. I asked her to work on my shoulder, which she did for a couple minutes, then went right back to my lower back. Definitely a language barrier. I was glad when it was over and left, having spent $50 for a sore back and only a slight improvement in my shoulders/neck. Complete waste of money for me. Update: It's been 2 days and my lower back is still hurting right at the spot she was pushing her elbow into my spine.
