My uncle was at this facility before COVID. I visited at random days/times unannounced. Every time I visited, he was clean, his room was clean, he was well groomed and personal needs were always taken care of. He had no complaints with the staff. He has passed away but I am grateful for the care he had here. Update: My brother spent the last year at this facility. He passed away this morning. He was developmentally disabled, could not walk and had a speech impediment that made it difficult to understand him at times. He also had a plateful of health issues. While at this facility, he was well taken care of and the staff cared about him as a person, not a number, and it showed in how well he was tended to. I will never be able to express how much of a difference they made for my family during this difficult time.

We had our loved one here to get stronger with professional therapy and help with getting up and walking which he was having trouble doing, and they completely failed him. Instead he spent most of his time isolated (NOT because of Covid) in a dark room that felt like a jail cell. He was released back to us now completely bedridden when he could somewhat walk before. We found out when he got home that they only had him up walking very little in time he was there. He is worse coming out than he was going in.

My stepmother was taken here after hip surgery. A few weeks in, she got Covid and was taken to the hospital and brought back five days later after recovering. While she was gone, all of her belongings (purse, cell phone, and MacBook) were stolen and she was never compensated for their value. They literally did nothing. Once I got power of attorney, I checked her accounts and found that her debit card had been used to buy $6000 worth of merchandise, including seven purchases to Coach in NY. The charges began only a few days after she got to Ridgecrest. Then, toward the end of her stay, one of the nurses slapped her in the face with a bag of wet wipes for being "mean".
