Can't get a sick appointment for a week if not available at lunchtime and told to go to an emergency vet. This is for a problem they've been trying to cure since December. Time for a new vet. Don't waste your money

I absolutely loved taking my dog there. The amount of time the Dr spent with me and my girl was great. Dr. Olsen is kind caring and very patient. She explains everything and answers any questions. My girl wasn't to happy to be at the vet but her health is very important. I highly recommend Douglassville vet.

I just brought my 4 year old golden here for his first appointment. They got us from my car and we went right to an exam room, which was great because my boy gets very nervous at the vet. The doctor was thorough and answered all my questions in detail. They comforted my dog and sweet talked him until he was ready for the exam, made a huge difference for his anxiety. It was also spotless in the exam room! We checked out from the exam room and headed right to my car. We didn’t even have to see any other pets that would have scared my dog! Highly recommend!!

I pay almost $75.00 a month for Pets Best insurance. which that leaves me with very little money to pay up front for costs. Do you except insurance up front for dogs annual shots. They are covered in my insurance plan.

I have been a client of Douglasville veterinary hospital for about 25 years now and I have pet insurance on my two dogs, petfirst is my plan. I pay about $235 a month. Since I've been a long-term client and my pet insurance pays me 90% back within 14 days of a claim they have always been willing to work with me. I give them a check and they put it in a file folder and when my insurance check comes in and they give me my check back and I give them the insurance check. My dog's pet insurance through pet first is better than my old health insurance. My own health insurance was 80% covered and 20% out of pocket and pet first is 90% covered and 10% out of pocket for event, not each visit. There's a 100 dollar one time deductible. Like I said I've been a long-term client of theirs and they know me and I know them and there's a trust relationship there. In my opinion they are the best!

Do you except insurance or must I pay cash up front.

Valerie, thanks for the question. We do accept insurance, but please be aware that most pet insurance companies only provide client reimbursement, meaning you pay the hospital and the insurance company reimburses you for the amount. Pet Insurance is considerably different than how human medical insurance works. Hope that helps. Please call us if you need more information. We're happy to help.

It's a little more expensive than some others but the service is worth it. You get what you pay for.
