Dr. Kroll appears to be a good enough doctor but the office is significantly behind the times. They just now set up an online system for check in and it’s not working very well - I had to refill out all the forms in person that I already filled out online. It wastes the patient’s time. They are also not set up for online payment. So you either have to send a check (no one under the age of 35 is going to do this) or call them to pay the bill. This is a strain on working people who have to take time out of their day to call to pay a bill during working hours rather than pay online at a time convenient for them. Not to mention, it’s bad for the office. The more obstacles you put in front of a person wanting to pay their medical bill the less likely you are to be paid in a timely manner.

Dr. Abaghani is the best. Love his bedside manner and acumen with injections.

I had an epidural done this morning. Dr Krill explained everything to me as he was performing the procedure. Mary at the front desk definitely knows her job and is great at it.

I have been a patient of the Pain Management Institute (PMI) on and off for several years and have always been pleased with the physicians and the treatment in the office and clinic. However, I have had major problems with the staff who monitor the phones for messages. Their message says that they will call back within a day and this has never been the case. Recently, I have been on vacation in Florida and I had to contact them for a medication prescription. I WAS EXTREMELY CLEAR in each of the many messages that I left. I stated the and medication name and the dosage that I needed, provided a phone number of a CVS location near me in Florida, and repeated each time that I was in Florida and not returning to Maryland until March. I called on different days, leaving a day or two between, to see if they responded. After my second call, a prescription for the wrong dosage requested was sent to my pharmacy in Maryland, not Florida as repeatedly requested. Each time I provided my cell number and asked to be called on it, not my home number. After another call from me, Dr. Larkin phoned me at my home number, not my mobile, to say that he didn't understand why I needed another prescription. Clearly, the staff had not told him that I was not home to get his call, had not told him that the dosage he sent was twice what I was requesting, had not told him that I had no way of getting the prescription that he had sent. I decided to call the to go to the CVS in Florida to check if perhaps the script was sent without the office informing me. When I got there, they told me that my insurance had blocked the prescription because it was too soon after my last one — the one that I am unable to pick up because it was sent to the wrong pharmacy. I don't blame Dr. Larkin for any of this since he has been professional and caring each time I have seen him. it is clearly the fault of the staff who take messages and either don't pass them on or pass them on incorrectly. Although I like the doctors in PMI, I have decided to look for another pain management practice since I have experienced very poor and disrespectful customer service.
